Having access to one of only a few permits allowed in Australia for this style of charter our area of operation is Princess Charlotte Bay, Far North Queensland.

The Lakefield National Park rivers which offer the best flood plains in Qld, the surrounding reefs and islands of the bay lie 160km north-west of Cooktown. This pristine area allows us to target an incredible range of prime eating and sport fishing species.

Our charters offer an experience like none other for those looking for estuary, reef and light game fishing. Live-aboard sport fishing trips are tailored around prevailing tides & weather conditions and provide the time to enable us every chance to be at the right place at the right time, every time – so if you want 4-7 days of sun, fishing and thrills then this package is for you. This charter is available March & April. 

6 passengers will stay aboard the luxury 57ft Reel Amokura - Assegai vessel and be pampered by our onboard chef for the duration of the trip. The vessel also provides the perfect platform for exploring the fishing opportunities at the nearby by reefs and islands which are literally untouched due to the absolute remoteness of the area. Also in tow are 2 custom made sportfishing vessels accompanied by experienced guides suited for all your expansive river systems and ideal for light tackle and reef fishing offshore. This arrangement is the best of its kind and you will be doing it all in comfort and style.

Your mode of helicopter transport departing from Port Douglas is very unique taking in one of Australia’s most scenic routes along the way. 3.5hrs of spectacular viewing both ways will leave you spell bound and is a significant part of the whole experience. It is the only method of access to get you there in a short time frame due the remoteness of the region which literally has no population. You’ll be transported by state of the art 44 & 66 Robinson Helicopters flying directly above the incredible landscape, unlike a plane flight.

The fishing is absolute world class from chasing down the iconic saltwater barramundi in the Normanby or Kennedy Rivers to the plethora of reef and pelagic fish within close proximity in the surrounding bay and islands including coral trout, sea perch, giant trevally, spanish mackerel a variety of tuna species just to name a few. We have that many options available at our finger tips that the reels will keep on turning. We supply all quality tackle and only recommended very limited gear to be brought along.
